The story of the Knight 3D:

What kind of helicopter does a hardcore 3D pilot really need? That’s the question that we try to answer by creating the Knight 3D. In 2005 a UK master pilot Paul Lison did what he called a “winter project” on an original Knight 50. He redesigned the frames to get something extra out of the original Knight. (see: rc-helicopter) That was the moment we realised that 3D pilots needs really something more than only a good heli.

At the 2006 3D Master we had a long conversation with Bob Johnston; we talked about how to make a 3D pilot “dreamed about” helicopter and what his real needs are and what we had to do to realize it. Bob gave us a lot of information’s, suggestions and ideas and this was a tremendous help to design the Knight 3D. Back home with all these information’s in mind we completed it with some of our own thoughts, we covered all the details, and at final here it comes; the new Knight 3D!!
